I’m out enjoying early Spring 3 months after my new years resolution to yet again lose the weight, meandering through our local farmers market, with nothing planned, when a wild burst of color catches my eye—a booth draped in vibrant tropical hues.
The wonderful gal inside instantly smiled at me when I entered her booth and says, “You seem ready for a change. Let me share the magic of the 7-second blue method.”
I looked around and squinted with furrowed brow...c'mon here we go again. “Seven seconds? Really?” I’m thinking, here comes another lofty promise.
But I found here to be soo genuine, she took her time and shared stories and photos from all her successful past customers which intrigued me. She cared!
After 15 minutes listening she got to the heart of it all. The secret turned out to be a blend of exotic, tropical ingredients I already loved and many I had heard of, but never thought to combine in such a transformative way. Knowing how I felt, and what I had promised myself this year I took the leap.
The next day was Day 1. I had been on day 1 dozens of times....but....slowly things happened and I admit I didn't notice as they were subtle.
But then, overnight, it was as if my 59-year old body woke up and recalled what 29 felt like!
I suddenly was out walking more, wanting to go out with people again, moving with a spring in my step I hadn’t felt in years, and without pain.
Oh, and lets talk about my energy levels! They were through the roof, I was out of bed every day with such an enthusiasm I thought I would never see again.
The biggest joy for me-—I was no longer eating my feelings, I was actually savoring my meals, each bite didn't make me feel guilty, all without the inflammation, bloating or discomfort that had become what seemed like my new normal for so many years.
But the true triumph? Becoming my old self, actually a better self. I barely remembered the adventurous, life-loving matriarch my family remembered and loved…even though they hadn’t seen her in years, but they, and I were beyond grateful she was back!
